Sock Knitting Class | in person 4 week class

You need to know how to knit and purl to take this class. 

This is an in person sock class for anyone who has never knitted socks before. Over 4 weeks you will learn how to make cuff down socks. You will learn all aspects of cuff down socks, heel stitch, short rows to turn a heel, picking up stitches and grafting to close your toe at the end.

Included is the free Simpingo sock pattern by Rebecca Glazier, a DK weight pattern perfect for learning how to make socks.

Dates: 

• Thursday January 15th, 22nd, 29th and February 5th, 6:30pm - 8pm
• Sunday February 8th, 22nd, March 1st & 8th (no class on 15th) 2pm - 3:30pm

Materials required (not included):

• 100g of DK weight yarn which includes nylon/ acrylic/ silk for strength. We have Lang Super Soxx 6ply, Estelle Double Knit, WildWestDye Merino/Cashmere/Nylon  or Flotte 6ply available in store.

• 3.25mm/ US size 3 DPN (double pointed needles), circular needles for magic loop, or Twist Shorties. 

• Darning needle.

Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, Rebecca will do her best to get you back on track. Help & Assistance workshops are also available.

Credit for future classes or a refund minus $15 administration fee will only be provided if we are notified either by phone or email at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance of the class or workshop.

Please note - Baaad Rabbits is located in an old building with no insulation - if it is cold outside, the shop is also cold in the morning - please dress accordingly.
